The Vatican has said that the Christian Church will not bless gay unions. The announcement was made in a statement approved by Pope Francis, the top religious priest of Christians, on Monday (March 15th). The news was published by the US media CNN.

The statement called homosexuality a “sin” and said it was a personal choice. There, it is stated, God’s plan cannot be regarded as a purposeful command.

According to CNN, the church’s position has disappointed millions of gay couples scattered around the world.

Members of the committee formed for the doctrine of faith in the Vatican’s top theoretical office said in a statement that gay unions would not be considered licenses for blessings. Because God never blesses wickedness.

Pope Francis, a religious priest who has always welcomed homosexuals inside and outside the church, endorsed the statement. This decision is a big shock for Christians.
