Ignoring the hygiene rules, the mosque was overcrowded

News Desk: Overflowing crowds of people have been seen in the mosques of the capital during Tarabi prayers ignoring coroner’s fear and hygiene rules. Many people pray in the streets as there is no space inside the mosque.

Last Tuesday (April 13) evening, the moon of the month of Ramadan was seen in the sky of the country. As a result, the holy month of Ramadan started on Wednesday (April 14). The first Tarabi prayers started after the Esha prayers last Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued special instructions for performing prayers in mosques from April 14 to ensure proper hygiene in the corona virus epidemic.

It said, “A maximum of 20 people including Khatib, Imam, Hafez, Muazzin and Khadim can participate in the five daily prayers in the mosque and Tarabi prayers. However, even if the number of people is not determined in the Friday prayers, the worshipers have to participate according to the social distance and hygiene rules. ”

However, as the first Tarabi prayer was on the day before this instruction (April 13), there was no obligation for 20 people, so the mosques were overflowing with worshipers.

With the exception of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, most mosques had no problem with distance and hygiene. Many did not come to the mosque even after wearing masks. Besides, Mirpur, Kalyanpur, Shyamoli, Mohammadpur and other areas of the capital have been visited and various mosques have been neglected.

Due to the deterioration of the corona virus situation, the government issued a notification imposing new restrictions from 6 am on April 14 to midnight on April 21. The notification was issued by the Cabinet Division on Monday (April 12).
