Police have brought back the youth trapped in Umrah

News Desk: Police have brought back Mohammad Ibrahim, a Bangladeshi youth who fell ill while performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia. On February 24, he sought help by contacting the inbox of a Facebook page run by the media and public relations branch of the police.

Then he said, even though he has been ill for a long time, he is not able to get treatment financially. Assistant Inspector General of Police (Media) Sohail Rana said that after seeing the message, the police contacted him at his address in Bangladesh to know the details. His home is in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.

According to family sources, he fell ill after performing Umrah. For this reason he was forced to stay there. At one point he became illegal there. He had to hide in his sick body. He became very ill and gave up hope of survival. At that moment, on someone’s advice, he sent a message to the inbox of the police’s Facebook page.

The police official said the Bangladeshi had been ill for more than a year. Convinced of his helplessness, the police headquarters stood by him for humanitarian reasons. Foreign cadre officer Mostafa Jamil was consulted on the matter. With his advice and cooperation, the ailing Mohammad Ibrahim was contacted by the Bangladesh Embassy in Saudi Arabia. He was brought back to the country on Friday night in collaboration with embassy officials.
