Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s younger sister Sheikh Rehana and daughter Sheikh Saima Hussain Putul will attend the Awami League’s National Council scheduled to be held on October 22 and 23.

Mahbub-Ul-Alam Hanif, Joint General Secretary of AL said those to journalists on Wednesday.

He said that that Rehana and Putul will represent Dhaka South as councilors.

Rehana and Saima were residents of Dhaka south so the list has been prepared accordingly, said an AL leader.

AL General Secretary of Dhaka South Shah-e-Alam Murad said that the prime minister, her sister and daughter hold serial numbers 1, 2 and 3 on the list of councilors.

The National Council is expected to select the next batch of leadership of the party.

The AL national council will be held on October 22 and 23 where the councilors will select the responsibility for the leaders.

Earlier, the joining of prime minister’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy and Rehana’s son Radwan Mujib Siddique Bobby were confirmed.
