Bangladesh Assistant High Commission gave a reception to Bangabandhu Recitation Festival Committee.
The reception was held at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission Agartala office on Wednesday, September 1.
Assistant High Commissioner Md. Jobaid Hossain handed over the letter of appreciation to the Bangabandhu Poetry and Recitation Festival Committee.
He called upon the entrepreneurs to continue such programs in the coming days. He hoped that through such cultural activities, bilateral cultural relations between Bangladesh and India would be further strengthened.
He said such an initiative with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of the nation of Bangladesh, the best Bengali of the millennium, is certainly commendable in organizing such an online event even in the midst of the Corona epidemic. First Secretary of the Assistant High Commission Mohammad Rezaul Haque Chowdhury was present on the occasion.
Kazi Mahtab Sumon, a renowned reciter and cultural figure of Bangladesh, was the advisor of this month-long festival held in July 2021. Prominent journalist and cultural personality of Tripura Amit Bhowmik, Convener of the Festival Committee, Pranab Debnath, Head of Excellent Printing Press, Tripura, India and Santosh Pal, Director of Mind Canvas were the editors.
A month-long Bangabandhu Poetry and Recitation Festival jointly organized by Tripura Mind Canvas and Excellent Printing Press in India has been attended by more than two hundred children, teenagers, young, old, invited poets, reciters, and eminent intellectuals from Bangladesh and India.
