Bangladesh Bank said on Thursday (April 15), “Interbank check transactions have been stopped at Bangladesh Bank due to the IT crisis. Even online bank transfers are not possible. ”

It is learned that this situation has arisen on April 13 when the fiber optical cable connecting the two data centers of Bangladesh Bank was disconnected. Then Microsoft and VMware – these two technology teams are working to solve this problem. An average of Tk 13,000 crore is transacted daily through the two services that are closed. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.

Ordinary people and businessmen have suffered due to the IT disaster in Bangladesh Bank. If the crisis is not resolved quickly, the suffering is expected to increase.

Bangladesh Bank provides guidance on lockdown to control corona infection. Under the new rules, banks will be open until 2.30pm on days other than public holidays on lockdown. However, the transaction will continue from 10 am to 1 pm.

The instructions of Bangladesh Bank said, “Every branch of the bank will be open one day in a row in the city corporation area. That is, if the branches are closed one day, they will remain open the next day. This rule will also be followed in the upazila level branches. The Sadar branch will remain open at the district level. ”
