Awami League Presidium Member and party spokesperson Mohammad Nasim on Thursday, has urged party fellows to be prepared to face the next election challenges and work accordingly in their respective fields and constitutional areas.
“The next general election is due in early 2019. We have to overcome the election challenges under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina again as we have done in the past,” the Health Minister and senior Awami League leader said at a rally, oganised by Jatiya Sramik League at Bangabandhu Avenue in Dhaka.
The rally was organized to mark the 47th installation ceremony of Jatiya Sramik League, a front organization of Awami League that came into being on October 13, 1979.
Nasim expressed his optimism about a consecutive third term victory for Awami League in 2019 because of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s revolutionary works for the nation.
The party workers and leaders at all levels, he said, must act as great advocates to highlight government’s development works to people and motivate them to vote for Awami League again. He said BNP, which has always been a synonym of failure, would be rejected again by the people.
President of Jatiya Sramik League Shukkur Mahmud chaired the function, which was also addressed, among others, by Awami League’s Labour Affairs Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj, General Secretary of Jatiya Sramik League Sirajul Islam and Executive President Fazlul Haque Mantu.
The rally started from Bangabandhu Avenue and ended at in front of Jatiya Press Club after parading Zero Point and the Purana Paltan intersection.
