Price cut on Walton LED TVs at DITF’16

The country’s electronics giant ‘Walton’ has substantially cut down the prices of various models of LED televisions, ranging from Tk 1500 to Tk 5,500, across the country on the occasion of new year and ongoing month-long Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2016, started on the first day of January at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital.

The substantial cut on the prices of Walton brand LED televisions are resulted in offering world-class LED TVs at CRT TVs rates. In addition, the local brand is also offering maximum seven percent special cash discounts at the Walton Pavilion in DITF’16.

According to Walton authorities, the price of 19-inch LED TV is now at Tk 12,350 after cutting the previous prices by Tk 1,500. Walton also reduced the price of its 24-inch LED TV to Tk 15,900 from Tk 19,900.  The customers can now buy a Walton brand 28-inch LED TV at Tk 20,900 while they had to pay Tk 25,300 earlier. The local brand is now selling two models of 32-inch LED TVs at Tk 27,900 and 24,500, slashed the prices by Tk 3,600 and 5,400 respectively. Walton also reduced the price of its 40-inch full HD LED TV to Tk 39,900 from the previous price Tk 44,700. In addition, it is also offering 43-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch android smart televisions at Tk 55,900; 69,900 and 85,900 respectively.

Walton Group’s Operative Director Uday Hakim said, adaptation of latest technology in the production process, production of various sorts of raw materials and spare parts at own factory are resulted in coming down the overhead cost of LED televisions. To give the benefits of  production cost reduction to the customers, Walton has substantially reduced the prices of its LED TVs, Hakim said and hoped that the prices will be reduced more in future.

Along with the substantial price cut across the country, the local brand also released some new models of its produced LED, smart and android televisions.

Akramuzzaman Apu, manager of Walton Pavilion (No-23) at DITF, said they are displaying newly released android smart based 43-inch, 49-inch and 55-inch televisions at the fair. These televisions are featured with USB port, VGA port, HDMI, YPBR, AV, internet browsing and download facility, Wi-Fi, broadband connection, playing games and watching videos and images on internet. In addition, 32-inch internet/smart LED televisions are also displayed at the Walton Pavilion. The quality of these televisions is international standard and the prices are also within the customer’s reach, Apu added.

During the fair, they are offering maximum seven percent special cash discount on 24-inch, 28-inch and 32-inch LED TVs, he said.

Walton Group’s Assistant Director (Marketing) Md Abdul Bari said, “Our prime goal is to supply world-class LED television at cheap rates. To this extent, separate manufacturing lines were set up for producing plastic cabinet, speaker, remote control, mother board, electric power cable and LED TV panel. Thus, the production cost were come down and the prices of LED TV at consumer level were also cut down.”

Engr. Mostafa Nahid Hossain, senior assistant director (sourcing engineering dept) of Walton Group, said they are using IPS (In-Plan Switching), ADS and HADS technology based panel in their produced LED TVs, which are resulted in giving wide viewing angles nearly 170-178-degree angles and high contrast pictures to the viewers.

In addition, the use of Dolby digital sound system, DLED and ELED backlight with dynamic backlight control, high standard mother board and motion picture in Walton LED TV are resulted in delivering incredibly vibrant colour, better sound as well as sharper images.

Mostafa said, “Walton always follows zero tolerance policy to the quality matters and thus never compromise with quality.”
