Bangladesh won the toss and selected to bat

Sports Desk: Bangladesh decided to bat after winning the toss in the first match of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The match will start at 1pm at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur. Sri Lanka bowling coach Chaminda Vass and two visiting cricketers Isuru Udana and Shiran Fernando reported positive corona in the sample taken on May 18.

Although Fernando was positive in the sample taken on May 22, the negative report came from Vass and Udana. As a result, all fears about organizing the first ODI of the series have been allayed. Fernando, however, showed no symptoms. But he will now be in isolation. Vaas and Udana are not in the squad for the first ODI. Of course they will stay at the hotel with the team.

On the other hand, the positive report of the bus driver of the team caused fear in the Bangladesh camp. Besides, the Tigers team leader Khaled Mahmud Sujan received a positive report on Saturday. However, he received a negative report within a day.

This series is part of the ODI Super League. May 25 will be the second ODI of the series. The third ODI will be on May 28. All at the same venue.
