Sports Desk: Former Bangladesh national team captain Mushfiqur Rahim, known as ‘Mr Dependable’ on the cricket field, has his birthday today. He was born on 9 May 1988 in Bogra. Today is the 34th birthday of one of the best batsmen in Tiger cricket. The ICC wished him a happy birthday.

Mushfiqur made his ODI debut for the national team against Zimbabwe in Harare on 6 August 2006. He made his Test debut against England at Lord’s on 26 May 2005 before the ODIs.

He has already scored 4,718 runs in 184 ODIs for the third team. The right-handed wicketkeeper has five centuries and 28 fifties.

The ICC did not forget to greet one of the wicketkeeper-batsmen of the time. He is the first double centurion in the history of the country. So far, Mushfiqur is the only batsman to score three double centuries in Tests, a total of 7 centuries and 23 half-centuries. His average run in Tests is 36.89. His total runs in Tests are 4685.
