News Desk: In order to provide emergency financial services to the customers, non-banking financial institutions are being opened in a limited manner in compliance with the health regulations.

Today, Bangladesh Bank has decided to open these institutions from 22nd April to 28th April.

The Financial Institutions and Markets Department of Bangladesh Bank has issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday.

The circular sent to the chief executives of all financial institutions operating in Bangladesh said, “The maximum two branches of financial institutions except weekly and public holidays from 22nd April to 28th April to provide urgent financial services such as cash deposits on maturity, deposit of loan installments as customers.” The other department outside Dhaka and the concerned department of the head office can be kept open from 10 am to 2 pm.

Bangladesh Bank says that the companies will complete the necessary manpower arrangement and presence in accordance with the health rules.

At present, there are 33 non-banking financial institutions operating in the country.
