Mominul included in Bangladesh squad for first Australia Test

Mominul Haque has been included in the Bangladesh opening Test squad against Australia after creating buzz all around the country’s cricket fraternity.

BCB president Nazmul Hassan on Sunday made the declaration while talking to reporters at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.

The BCB chief said the diminutive left-hander comes back to the squad in place of Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, who sustained an eye injury.

“Saikat is not full fit now. He is currently undergoing treatment an eye infection. We don’t take any risk with him. So we included Mominul in the squad instead of Saikat,” said the BCB boss.

Earlier on Saturday, Bangladesh announced a 14-member squad for the first Test against Australia. But Mominul failed to manage to get into that side.
