Won’t stay as BCB chief: Papon

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief Nazmul Hassan Papon

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief Nazmul Hassan Papon will not continue to hold the post.

The BCB chief on Wednesday expressed his desire while speaking to the journalists at a memorial meeting of his late mother Ivy Rahman.

Papon is also a senior employee in the Beximco group. Beside this, he is also a member of the national parliament.

Replying to a question, Papon said: “I am holding different crucial posts at a time. For this reason, I feel too much pressure managing all these things.”

Papon was elected BCB president unanimously, making him the first elected president of the board in 2013.

He had been serving as president since October 17, 2012, when he was appointed by the government after his predecessor Mustafa Kamal had become the ICC vice-president a week earlier.
