After an opening stand of 41 runs, visiting England lost three wickets in quick succession as hosts Bangladesh aim to strengthen their grip on the first of three-game ODI series on Friday.
Shafiul Islam gave his team the break through when he made James Vince (16) to give a catch to skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. Shakib Al Hasan then put an end to Vince’s fellow opener Jason Roy’s innings, the English World Cup hero making 41 off 40 with five fours and a six. Jonny Bairstow fell victim to a run out soon afterwards, without adding a single run as England were soon down to 63 for 3.
The visitors now have 71 for 3 at the end of 15 overs.
