Shakib is not likely to play in CPL-IPL

Sports Desk: The Caribbean Premier League 2021 game is scheduled to start at the end of August. Shakib Al Hasan has got a chance to play for Jamaica Talhawas in this year’s event. However, the BCB may not give Shakib Al Hasan a no-objection letter to play in the Caribbean League because the Bangladesh national team has a busy schedule at that time. Now, if Shakib is not given a chance to play in the Caribbean League, he will not be able to play the rest of the IPL normally. Because the suspended part of IPL is going to start from this September.

Australia will visit Bangladesh during the Caribbean Premier League IPL. They will play a five-match T20 series against the Tigers. Bangladesh is now going to play in the Australia series in preparation for the World Cup.

Akram Khan, chairman of the BCB’s operations committee, hinted in an interview with cricket website CricketBaz that Shakib would not be given a no-objection letter. In this regard, he said, “We have not yet made any decision on allowing Shakib to play in the CPL. A decision will be taken in due course. Our busy schedule ahead. We definitely want to play against Australia, New Zealand with our full strength team. ”

After such remarks by Akram Khan, the news came out that even if the BCB goes to the UAE to play the rest of the postponed IPL, Shakib will not be given a letter of no objection. As a result, it can be said that the world’s best all-rounder Shakib is no longer playing in the franchise league this year.

Meanwhile, Shakib went to India to play in the IPL after not playing a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka in April. He was recruited by Kolkata Knight Riders for 3 crore 20 lakh rupees. The franchise gave him a chance in their first three matches. But Shakib could not do justice to his name. As a result, he had to sit on the side bench until the IPL was postponed.
