Sri Lanka will change the captain before coming to Bangladesh

Sports Desk: Sri Lanka is coming to play ODI series in Bangladesh. Sri Lanka Cricket announced a 18-member squad for this on Wednesday. Regular captain Dimuth Karunaratne is not coming with the Sri Lankan team made up of relatively young cricketers. Instead, Kushal Perera will lead Sri Lanka in the Bangladesh tour. Another ‘Kushal’ Kushal Mendis has been made the co-captain.

Several experienced cricketers of the Sri Lankan team are not in the ODI series in Bangladesh. Apart from Karunaratne, the list also includes Dinesh Chandimal, Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Pradeep and Suranga Lakmal.

The Sri Lankan team will arrive in Dhaka on May 16. The ODI series will start from May 23. The next two ODIs of the three-match ODI series are on May 25 and 28. The three matches of the series to be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium will be day and night.
