Sports Desk: The national team cricketers have taken the second dose of coronavirus vaccine before leaving for Sri Lanka. They started taking the second dose at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital on Saturday.

Cricketers Tamim Iqbal, Taskin Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan Miraj, Nazmul Hossain Shant, Mohammad Mithun, Saif Hasan, Mukidul Islam Mughdha, Shariful Islam, Naeem Hasan, Taizul Islam and Hasan Mahmud have taken the second dose of vaccine. Besides, former cricketer Shahriar Nafees also came for vaccination.

Earlier, the cricketers took the first dose of Corona Ticker before leaving for New Zealand. They took the first dose of Corona Ticker in two steps on February 18 and February 20.

After taking the second dose, pacer Taskin Ahmed told the media, “We took the second dose of the corona vaccine today. Thanks to the Prime Minister for arranging the vaccination. In order to handle the situation at the moment, it is important for everyone to be alert, we should encourage everyone. We are wearing masks, everyone should wear masks. ”

Bangladesh will play two Tests at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium near Kandy. Bangladesh will play this first Test even though they have played ODIs and T20s in this field before. The first test will start on April 21, the second on April 29.

Bangladesh last played a Test in Sri Lanka in 2017. Despite losing the first Test, Bangladesh won the 100th Test in the second match.
