Shakib wants to go to play IPL at that time. He has requested the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) not to consider him in the squad for the tour of Lanka.

The BCB has granted Shakib’s request. He has been given leave for IPL. Akram Khan, chairman of the BCB’s cricket operations department, told cricket website CricketBaj, “He (Sakib) has given us a letter asking for leave from the Test series against Sri Lanka.
