news desk: Allegations have surfaced that HSC Bangla first paper questions of the Dhaka education board contained topics that can hurt religious sentiment of Hindu people.
Dhaka Education board chairman Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, said they have found some topics pertaining to “communal issues” in the question papers.
“We are investigating how the topics were included and who included them in the question paper,” he said.
The creative part of Bangla first paper had a question where relationship between two brothers Nepal and Gopal was described. They apparently did not enjoy a good relationship over land dispute. At one stage, the younger brother Nepal sold his part of the land to Abdul, a Muslim person to teach a lesson to his elder brother. Abdul, started living there after building a house. The question went on to describe more instances through which Abdul’s actions hurt Nepal’s sentiments who eventually then left the country.
