News Desk: The Department of Drug Administration has approved the emergency use of corona vaccine made by the US company Pfizer in Bangladesh.

Pfizer was approved as the fourth vaccine to be used in the country. Earlier, vaccines from Oxford-AstraZeneca Kovishield, Russia’s Sputnik-V and China’s Sinofarm were approved for emergency use in Bangladesh.

Earlier, Bangladesh sent a letter to Washington seeking vaccination from the United States. In that letter, Bangladesh asked for a vaccine as a gift. If not, Bangladesh agreed to buy the vaccine from Washington, the letter said.
