The first and second doses of corona vaccine are being given in the country at the same time. A total of 2 lakh 33 thousand 773 people were vaccinated by the health workers yesterday. The first dose was given to 12,157 people. The second dose was given to 2 lakh 21 thousand 616 people.

Meanwhile, the stock of ticks is running out fast. Till yesterday, there were 34 lakh 49 thousand 191 doses in stock in the country.

Mirzadi Sebrina, Additional Director General (Planning and Development) of the Department of Health and head of the immunization committee, said, “Vaccination is not going as planned. There were plans to lower the age limit and bring more people under the vaccine. This is not happening due to lack of ticks. High-level talks are underway to bring vaccines from India. ”

The National Covid-19 vaccination plan is working as a guideline for corona vaccination across the country. The Department of Health has developed this plan following the guidelines of the World Health Organization. The plan calls for vaccinating front-line workers on a priority basis to deal with corona. In addition, the government announced that any citizen 40 years of age or older can register for the vaccine. Gradually the age limit will be further reduced.

According to the plan, in the first phase of the first phase, 3 percent or 51 lakh 84 thousand people were vaccinated last week And in the second phase of the first phase, 7 percent of the people are to be vaccinated. In other words, in the first phase, it was planned to vaccinate 1 crore 72 lakh 80 thousand people.

Health Minister Zahid Malek has repeatedly spoken about the government’s efforts to collect vaccines at various events and meetings in the last few months. He said various companies and countries producing vaccines were being contacted. Adequate funds are also allocated for the purchase of vaccines.

On the other hand, the officials of the Department of Health do not know the exact time of receiving the vaccine from Covax, a global initiative for the collection and distribution of Corona vaccine. They say the vaccine will be available at some point this year. However, there is no possibility of that before June.
