News Desk: State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak said that technical preparations have been made for issuing vaccine passports. He said the “vaccine certificate” would be generated automatically after the second dose.
He made the remarks while exchanging views with reporters after receiving a second dose of coronavirus vaccine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Medical University (BSMMU) on Thursday (April 8th) morning.
Responding to a question from reporters, the state minister said, “Initially, there was a problem in registration for vaccination, but it was canceled later.” Maybe there was a problem with the information. But about 69 lakh have been registered to take the first dose. And about 52 lakh vaccines have been given.
The state minister said, “There were many kinds of propaganda, many kinds of conspiracies against the country, against vaccines. But today the people of the country have come forward. They have responded to the call of the Prime Minister. Due to which we were able to take the second dose of coronavirus vaccine today. ‘
Requesting compliance with health care, Palak said, “We should comply with health care by getting vaccinated. We keep ourselves safe, we keep our families safe and we all cooperate to keep the country safe. ‘
The second dose of coronavirus vaccine was administered on Thursday (April 8th). The second dose vaccination program started at 8:30 am in different parts of the country including the capital. However, the process of giving the first dose to those who have not been vaccinated so far is also continuing.
