News Desk: The two popular apps have not been working since 5:30 pm on Friday

Users have complained that the social media sites Facebook and Messenger are not working in Bangladesh.

They have not been able to use the two apps across the country since 5:30 pm on Friday (March 26).

A Facebook spokesperson said, “I have learned about the limited Facebook and Messenger services in Bangladesh.” I am trying to know better about the subject. Hopefully this problem will be solved soon.

The Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC) said users could not use the two apps due to “technical glitches”. However, they also claimed that the control commission did not close the two apps.

BTRC vice chairman Subrata Roy Maitra said they were working to resolve the issue.

Asked whether steps had been taken to curb the spread of false and misleading information during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, he said, “It is not so much because of technical glitches.”

Although the Downdetector website does not have information about Facebook or Messenger being down anywhere in the world today. As a result, it is thought that only Bangladeshi users are facing such problems.
