Bangladesh cricket team players will wear black badges in the match against India on Wednesday in honor of those killed in the tragic US-Bangla plane crash in Nepal.

At least 50 people, including 27 Bangladeshis, were killed in US-Bangla plane crash in Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday.

“When we heard the news, we were deeply shocked. We heard there were 35-40 Bangladeshis in the plane,” Bangladesh captain Mahmudullah said.

“We pray to god for the departed soul and convey deep sympathy to the bereaved family members. May Allah gives them enough strength to bear the pain,” he said.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh players took the social media to pay their condolences for the departed.

Shakib Al Hasan wrote in his Facebook, “Completely astounded by the news! Shishir and I are sending our deepest condolence to the victims of US-Bangla Airlines plane crash at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Also praying for the quick recovery of the injured passengers and crews. May the Almighty help their families with the strength to endure this disastrous incident!”

Mushfiqur Rahim asked everyone to pray for the victims.

Tamim Iqbal took to twitter to pay his respects, “Heart goes out to all the passenger and the families on board Flight BS211.”

“May Allah accept them with ease and may the survivors of this horrific crash recover fast. You all would be in our prayers,” he wrote.
Other players including Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan Miraz also showed their condolences and respect to the victims.

There were 71 people on board the plane. Among them 67 were passengers and four were Bangladeshi crew members.

The other passengers included 33 from Nepal, one from China and one from the Maldives.

The US Bangla plane took off from Dhaka at 12:52pm Bangladesh Standard Time and crashed into a fence of the Tribhuvan International Airport at 2:18pm Kathmandu time.
