Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad has removed Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu from the post of party`s Secretary General and made A.B.M. Ruhul Amin Howlader as its new Secretary General.
The announcement came from an emergency press conference held at his Banani office in the city on Tuesday noon.
The Jatiya Party chairman called the emergency press conference, following the Monday’s announcement by Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu.
Bablu announced that Raushan Ershad has been made acting chairman of the Jatiya Party. He claimed that the decision was taken unanimously at the joint meeting of the parliamentary committee and the presidium of the party.
“Impossible, Jatiya Party won’t split,” the party’s Chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad said in the emergency press conference.
“No one can touch this party, I am its chairman. No one confuses anyone,” he said.
