Klug said, we know it is much more contagious than (B1617 – Indian type) and (B117 – British type). The Indian type has spread much faster than any other type. He emphasized the need to focus on vaccination.

“Our best friend is speed,” he said. Time is working against us. But the pace of vaccination is very slow. This speed needs to be accelerated.

According to AFP, only 26 percent of the population in 53 countries in the European Union’s World Health Organization received the first dose of the vaccine. These regions also include some Central Asian countries.

In the European Union, meanwhile, 36.6 percent of people have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
