Entertainment desk: National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam has translated the Bengali verse book ‘Kavya Ampara’ of the Holy Quran into poetry. It contains all the suras of the 30 verses of the Holy Qur’an. Nazrul’s ‘Kavya Ampara’ is a unique dedication of 36 suras keeping the meaning and thought intact.

‘Kavya Ampara’ has already been published with audio recordings by 23 reciters from two Bengalis. Among the reciters who took part in the album are Syed Hasan Imam, Dolia Ahmed, Shahadat Hossain Nipu, Ikram Ahmed, Al-Amin Khan, Seema Islam, Rehana Parveen, Nayla Bari and Sonali Kazi, Ujjwal Kazi, Shahnara Kazi of Upper Bengal.

Two years ago, this translation sound of the Holy Quran was published with the holy month of Ramadan and Eid in mind.

Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited, a pharmaceutical company in the country, has taken the initiative to publish this work dedicated to Nazrul Center on YouTube in visual mode.

Nazrul’s poetry ampara published by social media house ‘Green Dot’ at the initiative of Dhaka’s Nazrul Center is expected to impress the Bengali-speaking audience. The idea and plan of the publication is by Al-Amin Khan. And Ferdous Khan is in charge.
