Two female students of Rangpur Medical College were mentally and physically harassed as part of ragging allegedly by Bangladesh Chhatra League activists.
The victims were Anika Raaj and Muna, 3rd-year students and residents of room 25 and 26 respectively of the women’s dormitory of the college.
They lodged a complaint with the principal on Thursday against seven female BCL activists of the same dormitory in this connection.
They alleged the BCL activists entered their rooms on Monday night, tortured them mentally and physically, and made them stand all night long.
Hall superintendent Sarawat Hossain said, “Mental and physical torture was inflicted on the two students by seven persons who introduced themselves as BCL activists, and the two rooms were messed up.”
