National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem said time for paying income tax will no longer be extended.
The last date to submit the return is November 30.
Muneem revealed the information at a press conference held at the NBR conference room in the capital on Sunday (November 29).
Those who are unable to pay their income tax returns on time can apply to the concerned tax office, he said.
Such taxpayers will be given time if they are able to show valid reasons for delay, the NBR chairman cited.
