A Schoolboy cricketer in England has achieved the extraordinary feat of a quadruple hat-trick, with his proud father having a perfect view of the carnage.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Cricket Club under-13s player Luke Robinson delivered the matchwinning over against Langley Park to claim six wickets in as many balls in a performance which has made headlines.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Making the feat all the more meritorious was the fact each of his six victims were bowled as the 13-year-old finished with incredible figures of 6\/1 in the match at Langley Park, near Durham City.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Officials from the 149-year-old club are reportedly checking their record books after Luke\u2019s haul.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It was a family affair at the ground, with Luke playing alongside his younger brother, Matthew, 10, while his family were all in attendance to witness his effort.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
His mother Helen was scoring, while grandfather Glenn was an interested spectator.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But Luke\u2019s father Stephen had the best view \u2013 he was umpiring at the bowler\u2019s end.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Stephen is a junior coach and senior player at Philadelphia and said it was a \u201csurreal experience\u201d.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019d actually bowled two overs and not had any wickets,\u201d Stephen told the Sunderland Echo.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was asking to be changed so that he could save his last one for later on in the innings.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I told him to keep on going and what he produced was just a procession. It was perfect. Langley Park were looking good at 10\/1 but, after Luke\u2019s over, they ended up getting just 18.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201dHe\u2019s benefitted from some quality coaching at the club from the likes of former Durham County Cricket Club head coach Geoff Cook and former Durham bowler Neil Killeen.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd now he\u2019s reaping the reward of all the effort that he\u2019s put in.\u201d<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
A quadruple hat-trick also occurred in Australia in January \u2013 in a fourth grade Ballarat Cricket Association fixture.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Golden Point opening bowler Aled Carey delivered his perfect over against East Ballarat, shredding their batting line-up after they reached 2\/40 from 17 overs.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
With the opposition only having nine players, Carey needed just one over to finish the innings.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cA bit of luck really I think,\u201d Carey told The Courier at the time when asked to explain his incredible day.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cOn a couple of occasions, I\u2019ve been pretty close (to a hat-trick), three or four times throughout my life.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I\u2019ve never been lucky enough to get that third one in a row.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u201cTo go to the extent that I have now, I\u2019m pretty happy.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
