When the situation was like that there had been a lot of whispering in the cricketing yard of Bangladesh, Tigers\u2019 left-arm paceman Mustafizur Rahman has been predicted to the new icon beside Imrul Kayes and Nasir Hossen.<\/p>\n

However, the confusion was removed by Ismail Haider Mollick, chairman of the BPL GC, while he was announcing the name of Bangladeshi pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman as the new icon cricketer for this year\u2019s BPL at ACME headquarters in Kallaynpur on Monday.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Rangpur Riders captain Mashrafe, ace all-rounder Shakib, Tamim Iqbal of Comilla Victorians, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah have been prime choice for the icon players. The rest of the two icons were Sabbir Rahman and Soumaya Sarker.<\/p>\n

It was learned that left hander Soumya Sarker might be eliminated from the list of icon player. Imrul will replace Soumay but the Comilla based franchise retained their talented player Imrul so that the BPL GC didn\u2019t choose Imrul for an option. Meanwhile, Dhaka Dynamites retained Nasir Hossen. Thus, there was no scope to keep Nasir in the list of icon.<\/p>\n

Ismail Haider Mollick, chairman of the BPL GC, said that five franchises have already submitted their icon players list to them. But he didn\u2019t reveal the name of the franchises.<\/p>\n
