Pakistan are currently playing the first of two-Test series against New Zealand, and the series opener was Misbahul Haq\u2019s 50th as Test captain. He is Pakistan\u2019s most capped Test skipper, surpassing legendary Imran Khan previously during the series against the West Indies in UAE.<\/p>\n
However, the Mianwali-born\u2019s milestone Test was not a joyful one as Pakistan were bowled out for 133 in the first innings at Hagley Oval in Christchurch during the second day\u2019s play. Misbah himself scored 31.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, the 42-year-old\u2019s teammates celebrated their captain\u2019s achievement by having a cake-cutting ceremony.<\/p>\n
Earlier, when asked about the 50th Test milestone during an interview, Misbah had said that these records don\u2019t matter much to him. \u201cRecords aren\u2019t as important as performances,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added: \u2018Individual character as a player should be considered above pride. However, it is always a happy moment to cross a milestone.\u2019<\/p>\n
After concluding the two-Test series in New Zealand, Misbah will lead the five-day side in the series against Australia, which includes three Tests, starting with a day-night affair in Brisbane.<\/p>\n
