\u2018We\u2019re signing a letter of acceptance to build a Qatari Emiri Air Force facility at the Mountain Home Air Base in Idaho,\u2019 Hegseth said at the Pentagon, with Qatari Defense Minister Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani at his side.\u2018The location will host a contingent of Qatari F-15s and pilots to enhance our combined training\u2019 as well as \u2018increase lethality, interoperability,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

The Qatari minister hailed the \u2018strong, enduring partnership\u2019 and \u2018deep defense relationship\u2019 shared by the two countries. The Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar is Washington\u2019s largest military facility in the Middle East.
