news desk: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday said the country\u2019s parliament will not be dissolved if BNP lawmakers resign.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf they (BNP MPs) resign, there will be nothing in the House,\u201d he told a meeting at the AL League President Sheikh Hasina\u2019s political office in capital Dhaka\u2019s Dhanmondi area on the occasion of the upcoming AL\u2019s 22nd national council.<\/p>\n
Responding to a question from reporters, Quader said the AL is not holding any counter rally as the date of the AL conference was scheduled earlier and it was a regular process.<\/p>\n
He said AL President Sheikh Hasina have given her directives ahead of the upcoming national conference, while a sub-committee will be formed on conference preparations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe AL never holds any counter rally. There is no issue of counter with BNP. The Awami League National Conference and other conferences are a regular process. What will we do if the dates of the AL\u2019s and BNP\u2019s meetings match to each other?\u201d the AL general secretary questioned.<\/p>\n
