News Desk:<\/strong>\u00a0Former US President Donald Trump has said that \u201cTwitter and Facebook should be shut down in every country.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a statement issued Tuesday, Trump called on countries to shut down Twitter and Facebook.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Nigerian government has shut down Twitter. Trump welcomed the country\u2019s move. He said other countries in the world should follow Nigeria in this regard.<\/p>\n

Congratulating Nigeria, Trump said they had banned the social media in the country after deleting the president\u2019s tweet. All other countries should ban Twitter as well as Facebook.<\/p>\n

A post by Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari deleted Twitter, The New York Times reported last week. The Nigerian president threatened to punish some people in his post. Twitter later deleted the post for allegedly violating the rules. Last Friday, the Nigerian government banned Twitter indefinitely.<\/p>\n

Trump once spent a lot of time posting frequently on Facebook and Twitter. Trump\u2019s provocation led to allegations of an attack on Capitol Hill on January 8. Trump was banned from social media in the wake of the bloody attack.<\/p>\n

Trump has been permanently banned on Twitter. His ban on Facebook has been extended for another two years. Trump is outraged by being banned through social media. Because, he is not able to keep in touch with his fans like before. As a result, he has to rely on making statements to respond to various issues. Trump said in his statement on Tuesday that he was not being given the opportunity to speak freely through these channels.<\/p>\n

Expressing his support for free speech on social media, Trump said that if these media outlets were closed for the time being, others would come forward. All new means of communication will be able to come forward to compete.<\/p>\n

Trump complained that these technology companies themselves are involved in evil. He asks, who are they to determine which statement is evil?<\/p>\n

The former US president said Facebook-Twitter should have been banned when he was in power. But he did not. Because Mark Zuckerberg, the head of Facebook, used to call him regularly. He used to come to the White House. Praised him.<\/p>\n

Last January, Trump said he would build his own social media platform. Last May, Trump launched his own communication medium, From the Desk of Donald J. Trump. He closed the site within a month. Jason Miller, an adviser to Trump, said the site, which was launched to build a larger social media platform, had been shut down.
