The remarks came during a virtual meeting with editors of several major international news agencies. This information was given in a report published online by Indian media NDTV.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian-made corona vaccine \u2018Sputnik-V\u2019 has received initial permission to be produced locally by the Seram Institute of India. The permission was granted by the country\u2019s drug regulator, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI), on Friday at the request of Serum. As a result of this permission, Sputnik-V vaccine can be produced at Seram\u2019s factory in Pune. Putin\u2019s comments came a day after Sputnik-V received initial approval from India\u2019s Seram Institute for local production.<\/p>\n<p>Indian pharma company said. Reddy\u2019s Laboratories approved the emergency use of the Russian vaccine last April. On the other hand, India\u2019s Panesia Biotech has started production of \u2018Sputnik-V\u2019 ticker in collaboration with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).<\/p>\n<p>Putin said Russia is currently selling the Sputnik-V vaccine in six countries around the world. He described it as a big market for Russia.<\/p>\n<p>Putin has denied the allegations in a statement issued Friday stating \u201cSimilar, baseless allegations concerning Russia\u2019s intelligence have been made more than once. The Russian president said he was almost certain the allegations were being made for commercial reasons. But Russia is following the humanitarian side.<\/p>\n<p>Putin said competition and commercial interests were at the root of the delay in registering Russian vaccines in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Putin also spoke of blaming China for spreading the coronavirus. He said there has been a lot of talk about this issue. This crisis should not be politicized.<\/p>\n<p>Russia approved the Sputnik-V vaccine in August last year. It is the first corona vaccine to receive state approval in the world. The vaccine was developed by the Russian vaccine manufacturer Gamalia Research Institute.
