He issued the warning on Friday in the wake of the slow pace of vaccination in Europe. News bass.<\/p>\n<p>Hans Klug, the WHO\u2019s regional director for Europe, said in an interview that the epidemic would not end if we failed to vaccinate at least 70 percent of the population. He said his main concern was with the new strain of the novel corona virus.<\/p>\n<p>Klug said, we know it is much more contagious than (B1617 \u2013 Indian type) and (B117 \u2013 British type). The Indian type has spread much faster than any other type. He emphasized the need to focus on vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur best friend is speed,\u201d he said. Time is working against us. But the pace of vaccination is very slow. This speed needs to be accelerated.<\/p>\n<p>According to AFP, only 26 percent of the population in 53 countries in the European Union\u2019s World Health Organization received the first dose of the vaccine.
