The nation\u2019s leading wicket-taker turned 34 in July and has increasingly been wrapped in cotton wool by England in an effort to wring every last drop out of his career.<\/span><\/p>\n

But with two Tests in Bangladesh followed immediately by five in six weeks in India, Anderson conceded he will need a reduced workload if he is to last the course.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a tough one because as a player if you\u2019re fit you want to play, simple as that, no matter what the format you\u2019re desperate to play,\u201d said Anderson.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut at 34 I probably have to manage myself, or be managed quite well. If at all possible you want to play every Test but India is going to be five back to back and that\u2019s a huge ask for any bowler.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are in constant discussion with the captain, coach and medical staff about the best scenario. We\u2019ve got good backroom staff who are very switched on and it will be managed well.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou take it game by game and while you can\u2019t say now \u2018I\u2019ll miss the second Test of five\u2019 \u2013 you might only bowl 15 overs in the first game \u2013 you have to be a bit sensible.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere will probably come a point where we try to look and maybe I\u2019ve got to sit out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anderson will be joined on the tour by 19-year-old Lancashire teammate Haseeb Hameed and the bowler yesterday backed his young county colleague to make an impact if given the chance.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a really impressive guy. The strength of character at such a young age, and the ability as well, is really impressive,\u201d said Anderson.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the Tests and Broady said he was the toughest opening batter he\u2019d bowled at in county cricket this year.<\/p>\n
