News Desk:<\/strong>\u00a0Bangladesh Bank, several commercial banks, financial institutions and more than two hundred public and private sector organizations are at risk of cyber attacks. The e-mails of these organizations contained the existence of a virus sent by an international hacker group.<\/p>\n

The virus stole various confidential information from the e-mails of these organizations and sent it to the hacker group. With this information, the hacker group could carry out cyber attacks on the relevant organizations. The information was obtained last Thursday from the government\u2019s \u201cCyber \u200b\u200bThread Research Unit\u201d through a cyber lab.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the concerned organizations have been informed about this matter from the shirt. They have been asked to be careful about this. They have also been told how to remove the virus from their e-mails. As a result, it will be possible to ensure cyber security very quickly.<\/p>\n

The virus did not steal much information. As a result, there is no danger of a major cyber attack. The e-mails from which the virus has been detected include Bangladesh Bank, Standard Bank, Trust Bank, Adhuri, Selbn, Rangs, Enafood, Datapath, AgniSystems Limited, Bangla Track Communications, Central Web Portal of Bangladesh Government, BTRC, Management Group, Thermex Group, Gas Transmission Company Limited and Lanka Bangla Finance.<\/p>\n

In this regard, Tareq M Barkatullah, project director of Bangladesh Computer Council and SART, said that the virus was in the e-mails of various organizations to steal information. It has been identified and instructed on how to make it useless. Now there is no big risk. He added that these companies use Microsoft\u2019s Exchange Server. They need to update the server because the server is infected.<\/p>\n

In this context, an official of the central bank said, they have started working on this issue. All sorts of steps have been taken to ensure their cyber security.<\/p>\n

Sources said an international hacker group called \u201cHafnium\u201d sent the virus. It was stealing information from important organizations in different countries. The virus has been working on this since last March. In particular, the virus was located on the servers of the organizations that use Microsoft\u2019s Exchange Server. Knowing the international incident, SART searched their cyber lab last Thursday and found the existence of the virus in the e-mails of more than two hundred organizations in Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

The virus can easily be located in Microsoft\u2019s Savar. Because the virus hacked Microsoft\u2019s server internationally. That\u2019s why the virus has reached wherever Microsoft\u2019s servers are being used. Now you need to clean the server and remove the virus. The rules of removal are mentioned in the SART report.
