Country\u2019s electronics giant Walton gave a grand reception to Sadat Rahman for bringing glory for Bangladesh by winning the \u2018International Children\u2019s Peace Prize 2020,\u2019 a prestigious prize for known as \u2018Children\u2019s Nobel.\u2019<\/p>\n
Recently, The international children\u2019s rights organisation \u2018KidsRights\u2019 awarded the prestigious prize to Sadat Rahman for his outstanding contribution in setting up a social organisation and mobile app titled \u2018Cyber Teens\u2019 to stop cyberbullying.<\/p>\n
Walton arranged the grand reception in honour of Sadat Rahman at its Corporate Office in the capital on Wednesday (November 18, 2020).<\/p>\n
At the reception, Sadat received a crest and gold medal from Walton Corporation\u2019s Managing Director SM Mahbubul Alam, Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited\u2019s Managing Director Engineer Golam Murshed, the daily newspaper \u2018Kaler Kantho\u2019 Editor Imdadul Haq Milan, Walton Group\u2019s Directors Sabiha Jarin Orona and Nishat Tasnim Shuchi.<\/p>\n
Walton also donated a cheque of Tk. 5 lakh to \u2018Narail Volunteers\u2019, a social organisation founded by Sadat Rahman.<\/p>\n
The grand reception also attended, among others, by Sadat\u2019s father Md. Sakhawat, Walton Group\u2019s Deputy Managing Directors Nazrul Islam Sarker and Eva Rezwana, Executive Directors SM Zahid Hasan, Md Humayun Kabir, Col. (Retd.) SM Shahadat Alam, Mohammad Rayhan, Md Firoj Alam, Amin Khan and Anisur Rahman Mollik, Senior Deputy Executive Director Shahjada Salim, Deputy Executive Director Rakib Uddin, First Senior Additional Directors Milton Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman, Additional Director Augustin Sujan and Risingbd\u2019s Executive Editor Taposh Ray.<\/p>\n
Narail Abdul Hai City College\u2019s intermediate second-year student Sadat Rahman, along with his friends, founded a social organisation called \u2018Narail Volunteers.\u2019 Under this organisation, they created a mobile app as a new platform called \u2018Cyber Teens\u2019 in October last year to prevent the children from cyberbullying. Besides, Sadat and members of his oraganisation is creating awareness among students on internet safety related to various issues like cyberbullying, spamming, hacking, rumors.<\/p>\n
For his involvement and contribution in such social activities, Sadat Rahmen received the prize. On November 13 last, Sadat was presented with the award by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai during a ceremony in the Hague, the Netherlands.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
