Many of the victims, who include 18 foreigners, are hacked to death with machetes. On the same day a Hindu temple worker is hacked to death in western Bangladesh.<\/li>\n<li>June 15: A Hindu college lecturer is seriously wounded after being hacked by three men in the southern town of Madripur.<\/li>\n<li>June 10: A 62-year-old Hindu monastery worker is hacked to death during his morning walk.<\/li>\n<li>June 6: A 70-year-old Hindu priest is found murdered in the western district of Jhenidah.<\/li>\n<li>June 5: Christian Sunil Gomes, 65, is hacked to death after Sunday prayers near a church in the northwest village of Bonpara.<\/li>\n<li>May 20: Sanaur Rahman, 58, a homeopathic doctor, is murdered while riding a motorcycle in the western town of Kushtia.<\/li>\n<li>May 14: A 75-year-old Buddhist monk is found hacked to death in Baishari.<\/li>\n<li>May 7: A local Sufi Muslim leader is found chopped to death in a mango grove in the northwestern city of Rajshahi.<\/li>\n<li>April 30: A Hindu tailor is hacked to death in central Bangladesh.<\/li>\n<li>April 25: Two leading gay rights activists are chopped to death in an apartment building in Dhaka.<\/li>\n<li>April 23: University English professor Rezaul Karim Siddique, 58, is cut down and fatally wounded in Rajshahi.<\/li>\n<li>April 7: Nazimuddin Samad, a 26-year-old law student and atheist who had taken part in protests against Islamist leaders, is murdered near his university in Dhaka.<\/li>\n<li>March 22: Attackers hack to death 68-year-old Hossain Ali, who converted to Christianity from Islam in 1999, in the town of Kurigram.<\/li>\n<li>February 21: A top Hindu priest Jogeswar Roy, 45, is decapitated in his temple in northern Bangladesh.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here are some of the attacks this year alone: July 7: Two policemen and a civilian are killed in explosions and gunfire at a huge prayer meeting in the northern district of Kishoreganj marking the start of Eid.
