Mosharraf, who played five ODIs for Bangladesh, will soon apply for financial help from BCB as he needs at least 40 lakh to complete the operation. Some senior national cricketers like Shakib al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal have already contacted him for giving him mental support and according to the 37-year spinner it means a lot to him.<\/p>\n

\u201dTamim sent a voice message along with text message from New Zealand and asked me not to worry as he knows quite a few people in Singapore,\u201d said Mosharraf.<\/p>\n

\u201dHe told me that just to let him whenever a help is required and these kind of gestures are giving me mental confidence,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201dI will leave as soon as I get the visa. What is giving me relief is that the tumour is at an early stage. My family had completely broken down but now I think they are feeling a little better,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Mosharraf came to know about it during a medical check-up that revealed he has been diagnosed with glioma, a type of tumour that starts in the glial cells of the brain or the spine.<\/p>\n

BCB physician Debashish Chowdhury said that they had advised him to go through a check-up during the last edition of Bangladesh Premier League after learning that he got fainted without any major reason.<\/p>\n
