Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das added 45 runs in the opening stand. But Liton departed after scoring 23.<\/p>\n

Tamim Iqbal (not out) hit a brilliant innings of 81 runs off 104 runs with nine fours while Soumya Sarkar 80 off 81 balls with five fours and five sixes.<\/p>\n

Unbeaten Mushfiqur Rahim smashed a quick innings of 16 runs with two fours and a six.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Bangladesh bowlers restricted West Indies to 198 for nine in 50 overs.<\/p>\n

The visiting team managed the total, thanks to a brilliant 108 (not out) knock from West Indian wicketkeeper Shai Hope, who had also hit a ton in the second ODI of the three-match series.<\/p>\n

The second highest score by a Caribbean was 19 by Marlon Samuels, as the side struggled to face Bangladeshi bowlers.<\/p>\n

All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz took four wickets for 29 \u2013 his career best. Captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and Shakib Al Hasan took two wickets each.<\/p>\n

West Indies had a difficult time in the field as they lost their first wicket when the score was only 15. Off-spinner Miraz trapped Chandrapaul Hemraj to point where Mohammad Mithun grabbed an easy catch.<\/p>\n

Darren Bravo was Miraz\u2019s second victim. Bravo went to play a big shot but failed to judge the ball and missed. The ball shattered his leg stump. Mohammad Saifuddin, the 22-year-old all-rounder, uprooted off-stump of big man Marlon Samuels.<\/p>\n

The touring team lost three wickets in a span of three runs. Miraz scalped his third and fourth wickets trapping Shimron Hetmyer and Rovman Powell in two consecutive overs.<\/p>\n

A tremendous performance by the Tigers put West Indies struggling at 99 for five.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
They added 34 runs in the sixth wicket stand before Shakib picked up Roston Chase, who tried to hit a boundary where Soumya Sarkar took a brilliant overhead catch. Right after that, Shakib took the wicket of Fabial Allen as well. Fabian went to sweep but got a top edge. Mohammad Mithun took a tough catch sprinting from the deep square leg.<\/p>\n

At the eighth wicket stand, Shai Hope and Keemo Paul, the pair who helped the Caribbean win the last game, added 28 runs. Mashrafe broke the stand with a slower. Paul went for a big shot but failed to touch the ball and was bowled out. The Bangladeshi skipper also picked up the wicket of Kemar Roach.<\/p>\n

Hope was the only Caribbean batsman to offer resistance. After hitting a match-winning unbeaten 146 in the second match in Dhaka, he scored another hundred in Sylhet. He hit Shakib for a massive six to complete his back-to-back century on the first ball of the 48th over.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss in the first-ever ODI in Sylhet and decided to bowl first.<\/p>\n

The Tigers made two changes to their side. Imrul Kayes and Rubel Hossain were replaced by middle-order batsman Mohammad Mithun and all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin.<\/p>\n

Bangladesh won the first of the three matches by five wickets. Mashrafe and Mustafizur Rahman had taken three wickets each while Mushfiqur Rahim hit a fifty to propel the Tigers to their first win.<\/p>\n

But the Caribbean side came back strongly in the second match, thanks to a stunning century by Hope, which was also his career-best knock.<\/p>\n
