Possibility of auto pass in SSC-HSC this time

News Desk: There is uncertainty about the organization of SSC and HSC examinations of the current 2021 academic year. Because of the recent outbreak of coronavirus, it is not possible to determine when the educational institution will be opened. Meanwhile, the leave of the educational institution has been extended till May 22 to prevent corona infection. Even as the infection continues to increase, 14-point directives have been issued, including the closure of all educational institutions.

Concerned people say that if it is not possible to open a school-college, it will not be possible to complete the 60-day short syllabus for SSC and 84-day HSC. These two big public exams cannot be held unless the syllabus is completed. Therefore, like last year, the certificate may be issued with autopass, said the concerned source.

According to various education board sources in the country, the education boards have started all kinds of preparations to organize the SSC examination in 2021. In the meantime, it has been announced that the students will be able to fill up the form without any delay fee from April 1 to April 7 and the time for filling up the form has been announced from April 10 to 14 including the fee. This year, the registered students are getting the opportunity to sit for the examination without any selection test in the school.

On the other hand, after selecting the question papers for the SSC examination and finalizing the moderation work, it has been sent to BG Press (Government Press) for printing. Once the students have completed the form, the printing of the question will be completed.

In this regard, SM Amirul Islam, Chairman of Dhaka Inter-Education Board Examination Coordination Sub-Committee and Controller of Examinations of Dhaka Board of Education, said, “We have started overall preparations for SSC and HSC examinations as per government instructions.” We have started working on the target next June-July. All preparations including preparation of question papers will be finalized. If the instruction comes from the Ministry of Education, SSC examination will be taken in accordance with the health rules.

It is learned that the list of centers under SSC examination under Dhaka Education Board has been published this year. There are a total of 1 lakh 38 thousand 904 examination centers. Examination centers have also been finalized from other education boards. As it was decided to take the test in compliance with the health rules, the number of centers across the country has been increased by 50 percent this time as compared to last year.

Several responsible officials of the Ministry of Education, who did not want to be named, said that the situation in the country has made it impossible to conduct SSC and HSC examinations this year. In the next three to four months, if the corona situation is normal, it will be possible to take these tests. If the syllabus is not completed, these two public examinations cannot be organized. In the current Corona situation, it is impossible for about 23 lakh SSC students across the country to take the exam together.

The officials said that if the Corona situation returns to normal within four or five months, the total answer sheet could be reduced by 50 per cent. Alternative plans are also being considered to take the test in one and a half to two hours instead of three hours. The decision will be made depending on the situation.

Due to Corona, the SSC exam will be held in June and the HSC exam in August. Dipu Moni. That is why the Board of Education also publishes a revised short syllabus for 60 days of SSC and 84 days of HSC classes.

However, after announcing that all public and private universities will reopen after May 24, the two exams will not be held in June and August, board officials said.

Board of Education and NCTB officials said it would be possible to open the institute in mid-February, adding that the SSC and HSC examinations would be held in June-August. But the holiday has been extended till May 23. It is uncertain whether the educational institution will reopen after this period due to corona infection. Therefore, if it is not possible to complete the short syllabus, it will not be possible to take SSC and HSC examinations. That is why if the situation arises, the autopsy certificate may have to be distributed.

Professor SM Amirul Islam said that a notification will be issued by the education boards to start the process of filling up the HSC examination forms in the next 15 days. As there is no selection test in the college, about 14 lakh students registered across the country will take part in the test.

He said the education boards have been asked to make all preparations including preparation and printing of question papers for the HSC examination in August-September. We are making all those preparations. If the Ministry of Education announces to take the test, the test will be taken by ensuring hygiene in the test center.

However, in the current situation, it is not possible to take SSC and HSC examinations, said Professor Nehal Ahmed, President of the Inter-Education Coordinating Board and Chairman of the Dhaka Board.

“We have started preparing for the short syllabus,” he said. SSC form filling started from this week. Once that is done, the HSC form will be filled later. In the meantime, the question papers for SSC have been finalized for theoretical and multiple choice examinations at 100 marks in three hours. Work is underway to prepare HSC question papers. Two exam question papers will be sent to the press in a short time.

Nehal Ahmed further said that if the Corona situation is normal, SSC-HSC examination will be taken after completing the short syllabus. If it is not possible to teach the syllabus, it will not be possible to take this test. But the situation is changing every moment. The situation will be brought under control by May 23. In fact, educational institutions will be reopened and teaching will start. Otherwise you have to think of alternative ways like last year.

In this regard, Professor SM Amirul Islam told the media that it was possible to open in mid-February. Now that the opening of educational institutions is being delayed, the SSC exams will naturally be postponed. Because the education minister has said that the examination will not be taken without teaching.
