Veteran comedian Tele Samad no more

Veteran comedian and film actor Tele Samad has passed away after prolong illness.

 

He breathed his last at Square Hospital in the capital on Saturday at 1:30 pm, his daughter Sohela Samad Kakoli confirmed the death to Jago News.

 

The actor was admitted to the hospital on December 4, last year, with difficulty in food ingestion due to low count of platelet in his blood.

 

Samad had a bypass surgery in US in 2017. He returned to Bangladesh in September the same year after recovery.  However, he was admitted to the hospital twice in October and November. On October 20, he had an emergency surgery on his left toe.

 

Samad made his debut in 1973 film Kar Bou. He got his breakthrough in the film Noyonmoni, directed by Amzad Hossain.

 

He was born on 8 January in 1945 in Munshiganj. He acted in over 600 films.
